After nine near lethal overdoses and multiple episodes of severe self harm, due to command hallucinations Destiny's parents have no choice but to put her on the waiting list for a 12 to 18 month long psychiatric residential treatment center to protect her from herself. However Destiny has a rare genetic syndrome. She is fed, drinks, and gets her medication through a permanent IV line in her chest called a central line. She also relies on oxygen, and a G tube drainage tube. Overnight she must be on a heart, blood pressure and oxygen monitor.
