I was a normal healthy kid up until I was eight years old. Then the monster of gastroparesis attacked. By age ten I was four feet tall, 38 pounds, and unable to eat or drink a thing. Every time I tried I got so nauseous and bloated that I began vomiting and had pain shoot through my belly. I kept telling everyone "There's something wrong with my stomach". Everyone told me it was all in my head.
Dr. Roman, my pediatrician decided I was a nine year old with an eating disorder and forced me to quit gymnastics, I went through the first few stages of grief once the favorite part of my life was cut out. Soon I was The next thing I knew I was having daily appointments with Dr. Roman, weekly appointment with a therapist and seeing a psychiatrist every other week who put me on a kiddie dose of Prozac. But I still couldn't eat.
My only issue was that I was too nauseous to eat
