When Destiny finally emerges from her cocoon of psychosis she is forced to face the reality that she is stuck on a high acuity adolescent psych unit and that there are only two places she can go from there. She can either be committed to a long term locked state hospital for kids, or she can go back to The Jackson Center.

The Jackson Center seems like the better option, but this was before Destiiny had experience Quiet Room Torture.

Once Destiny does return to The Jackson Center, Aliza and Sam C put the Quiet Room Protocol in place. It basically means that Destiny gets kept in a small room with no door, just a chair parked there where staff sits and watches her. They give her a laminated card that reads,

“We understand you are struggling a lot now, and we care about you, but we will not interact with you until your behavior comes under control and you finish your Quiet Room time.”

Then they give her the silent treatment and won't even make eye contact with her.

Destiny comes unglued, she has no way to reality test or distract herself or identity if she is in The Bad Man's World or the regular world. She repeatedly tries to run out of the Quiet Room. Each time she tries, staff grabs her and pins her facedown on the floor in a restraint. Every time Destiny is restrained she gets another hour of Quiet Room time tacked on, until she maxes out at 6 hours.
