Get ready to hear Chapter 24 of “Was I Ever Normal” read by the author herself, livestreamed on YouTube. In Chapter 24 Cassie starts 9th grade at The High School of the Arts. Once the honeymoon period passes, she is still vomiting up everything she eats and is vomiting up her meds right along with the food.
During her hospital stay Cassie started taking Seroquel and Risperdal. The psychiatrist there had prescribed them to use as mood stabilizers. However those two meds were actually antipsychotics. The whole reason Cassie was so stable was the Serequel and the Risperdal.
There were locks on the bathroom doors and the unit was staffed with 24/7 staff in the hospital. This made it impossible for Cassie to be vomiting up any food or meds. At home Cassie just stopped eating. Dr. Kimmens gave her an ultimatum, “eat three meals a day with your family or you can’t ride your bike.” That’s when Cassie discovered the vomiting loophole.
Soon Cassie believes the teachers can use their computers to read her thoughts, and that they have installed cameras everywhere to monitor her behavior. The voices get louder and louder the longer she goes with no meds in her bloodstream.
Because she is vomiting up her Keppra as well the focal seizures in her right leg start back up and are near constant as well.
