Each Reality Is Melding With the Next At School
Cassie has not had a stable amount of her antipsychotics in her system for over two months at this point. Even though she goes to school every day, she can’t function in class. She can’t hear what the teachers or other kids are saying. The barrage of voices in her head is too loud. Her reality is melding with other realities and she can’t tell them apart.
Cassie is convinced that the teachers put cameras in the walls to spy on her in the classrooms. After a few months, Cassie decides to stop hiding from them. Instead, she spends most of her time at school, sitting outside Dianne’s office.
Dianne and The Breaking Point
Dianne the school psychologist is always too busy to talk to her.
Cassie reaches her breaking point when Dianne pushes off talking to her until after lunch. That is in another 2 hours and 45 minutes. Cassie reaches her breaking point. Somehow she is no longer in school. In a psychotic haze, she tries to figure out where she is. She knows she is somewhere that she should recognize but doesn’t. The voices try to convince her that they put the evil sign on her pupil. Now all the drivers of cars passing by, think she is evil and want to put her in jail.
Which Reality Do I Listen To?
They also tell her to cut herself. “
If you cut yourself you will know where you are again. Then you will be able to find your way back to school.” They tell her and remind her of the broken piece of beer bottle they forced her to pick up. Cassie is desperate to grab hold of the right reality. But which reality is right? Is it Fellingham’s reality, or the reality that belongs to her family and the other kids and teachers at school?
To find out what Cassie ends up doing you will have to sign up for the event.
